Project Challenges
- Cross-Platform Consistency: One of the primary challenges was translating existing design styles from the Schnucks Rewards app to the new website, ensuring a cohesive brand experience across all digital touchpoints.
- Integration Complexity: Implementing the Instacart Connect API for eCommerce functionality required careful coordination with internal developers and technology partners.
- Multi-Faceted Responsibilities: The project demanded a diverse skill set, including CMS management, quality assurance, image creation, copywriting collaboration, and feature prioritization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: I led the redesign process, overseeing the creation of key website elements including the home page, eCommerce shopping experience, checkout process, order-ahead functionalities for various departments, and marketing landing pages.
- Collaboration: I worked closely with internal developers, technology partners, and cross-functional teams, including User Experience Designers from World Wide Technology.
- Technical Implementation: My role involved building and updating pages in the new headless CMS, as well as reviewing pages across different environments (Dev, QA, Beta/Prod).
- Project Management: I was responsible for prioritizing new features, enhancements, and bug fixes throughout the development process.
